1. Introduction and the working principles of Rhino

For the digital film, we need to index the images, compress the images by JPEG2000 or MPEG2, and encrypt them by AES1283 encryption algorithm, and then process the video, audio and subtitles into MXF format, and create DCP.
After importing DCP in the playback server, the AES128 key is needed to complete the decryption. For security reasons, the AES128 key should be encrypted by the common key of the matching server before transmitting, and create KDM XML file.

Rhino KDM Creator can batch process the work. Besides, Rhino satisfied the requirements of DCI/SMP, and updates accordingly.
Rhino KDM Creator receives Digital Certificate of the digital cinema server, and create KDM for it. The working principle can be shown as in the following figure.

2. Instructions

Rhino is easy to operate:

1) Rhino has the private key and digital certification (public key included) which satisfy the requirements of DCI/SMP. The public key can be released in the form of digital certification, but the private key should be strictly confidential.
2) Provide the Mastering system with the digital certificate of Rhino after the creation of DCP, in order to create KDM for Rhino.

3)Rhino loads AES Key to the content of certain movie, the key exists in form of KDM which is generated by Mastering System

4)Rhino loads the digital certificate list of the equipment

5)Accomplish the settings in Rhino, like the valid period of KDM, etc.

6)Generate KDM for the digital cinema server batch.
